La Kiuva

The cooperative The Kiuva with seat in Arnad in Valle d'Aosta in loc. Pied de Ville, 42 was been based on in 1975. The first awarding to the social cellar wine was in 1979 with 506 quintals. At present the cooperative includes 60 partners for a total of 1067 quintals in 2004. The production is of about 70.000 bottles/annual. At present a lot old vineyards, in state of seeds-abandonment are in phase of rebuilding. The business manages besides directly 2,5 hectares of vines with an own employee. The management is total, from the choice of the variety and of the clones, to their altimetric setting and of exposition, and position, to conclude itself with the cares of colture, the thinning out and the vintage. From these vineyards, all of small extension come the better grapes. All of the vineyards are situated between the 380 and the 500 meters s. l. m. positioning in the highest band the white and fragrant vineyards to arrive in the lower one with the vineyards that give the production for refinement in wood with greater structure and body. Annexed to the local of the cooperative there is a restaurant where you can find the wines produced in the cellar below. The local is constituted by a lounge with about 300 places, by a bar and by a wide parking.
